Saturation- what I think it looks like

Last week, Pastor Scott Himes (from LifeChurch in Indianapolis) raised the topic of God's saturation in our lives. I had to resist the urge to write a 10 page answer on his page...

What would my life be like if it were completely saturated with God?

I personally think my life might seem a little out of control, or at least look that way to the others around me. There is still an illusion in my heart. I pretend to have everything under control. Knowing that it is only an illusion does not mean that I act accordingly. It just means that I get better at pretending to be in charge. Being completely saturated to me means finally letting go of the illusion...

Being completely saturated reminds me of one of my favorite passages in the New Testament:

"Some, however, made fun of them and said, "They have had too much wine" Acts 2:13

Saturation feels like intoxication. Intoxication courtesy of the Holy Spirit... the best kind of intoxication!
